Dubai Cares supported the construction of 2 schools in coordination with United Nations Children’s Emergency Funds (UNICEF) and national education authorities. Each school consists of 13 classrooms, 6 gender-separated latrine units and water supply system; all constructed in Erbil and Sulaymaniah to alleviate the dire need of learning spaces. This one-year program, which benefited 2,048 boys and girls, catered to internally displaced people (IDPs), refugees and Iraqi communities and other children in need.
