Dubai Cares, in partnership with United World Schools, launched a program aimed at increasing school enrolment and improving literacy rates among marginalized minorities and underserved regions in Cambodia. The program also sought to enhance hygiene practices through improved WASH facilities and to strengthen the capacity of local teachers and school administrators.

As part of the program, one school was constructed to accommodate up to 120 students. In addition to the physical infrastructure, the program provided one year of operational support to ensure the school’s sustainability and effectiveness. Following this initial phase, the program facilitated a transition to an alternative funding model, allowing the school to continue serving its community in the long term.
