Dubai Cares supported and worked in areas that were directly and indirectly affected by the 2010 earthquake in Haiti in order to assist the maximum number of children. The program focused on both immediate assistance, as well as longer-term rehabilitation efforts in the education sector. The overall goal of the program was to assist earthquake affected children in rebuilding their lives through schooling and recreational activities.
