Dubai Cares organized community-based Back to School initiatives aimed at improving access to education and learning opportunities for children in developing countries. in 2019, around 2,000 volunteers participated in a four-day event during the holy month of Ramadan, packing 50,000 school bags filled with essential stationery and learning kits.

Of these, 20,000 bags were distributed across 27 schools on the islands of Unguja and Pemba, reaching children who needed them most.
