Dubai Cares in partnership with UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) launched “Education Uninterrupted,” a nationwide fundraising campaign addressing the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the education of children and youth in the UAE.

The initiative aligned with the UAE Government’s decision to extend distance learning until the end of the academic year and called on the UAE community to contribute financial and in-kind donations. These donations aimed to support children and youth from low-income families who could not afford devices such as desktop computers, laptops, or tablets, enabling them to participate in distance learning safely from home.

The initiative sought to ease the burden on parents, who played a critical role in their children’s distance learning, and to support teachers in their efforts to continue delivering quality education during the pandemic. In doing so, educators joined doctors, nurses, and medical staff as part of the community’s first line of defence during these challenging times.
