Dubai Cares, in partnership with Save the Children, MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), Community Jameel, and Hikma Pharmaceuticals, supported the Transforming Refugee Education towards Excellence (TREE) program, now known as EJADA.
Implemented in Jordan in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE), this five-year program engaged teachers, principals, MOE representatives, and education professionals to co-design, prototype, and test a new Teacher Professional Development (TPD) curriculum. The program focused on enhancing teacher occupational wellbeing and improving teaching practices around creativity, innovation, and the use of learning resources. By promoting teacher wellbeing and responsive teaching, TREE strengthened educators’ capacity to positively impact the learning environment and improve outcomes for all children, including refugees.
