Dubai Cares, in partnership with The Citizens Foundation (TCF), launched a transformative education program in Pakistan to address the country’s critical out-of-school crisis. With an estimated 23 million children between the ages of 5 and 16 not attending school, Pakistan holds the world’s second-largest population of out-of-school children—many of whom are girls.

Although low-cost private schools have attempted to bridge the gap, they often fall short in delivering quality education. To address this, the program focused on establishing a primary school in Rato Dero, Larkana, located in the Sindh province.

The initiative aimed to increase access to quality education for underserved children, provide affordable learning opportunities in Rato Dero, and create employment for women by hiring female faculty members. Through this program, Dubai Cares advanced educational equity and community empowerment in one of Pakistan’s most marginalized areas.
