Dubai Cares, in partnership with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), completed a three-year program in Pakistan that led to significant improvements in learning outcomes, school enrolment, and the transition from pre-primary to primary education among children, particularly girls aged 4 to 12.
The program enhanced access to quality learning environments by rehabilitating and upgrading 26 girls' schools across primary, elementary, and high school levels. It also integrated health, hygiene, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) enrichment components to support student well-being. Key innovations included the introduction of learning kiosks to support blended learning approaches and the organization of Children’s Literature Festivals (CLFs) to promote literacy and a love for reading among young learners.
