In partnership with Sesame Workshop, Dubai Cares addressed and worked to reverse gender biases and stereotypes within three key spaces related to early childhood, math, and science: the home, the school, and the media. The program promoted evidence-based practices aimed at enriching the quality of educational experiences available to all children, both boys and girls, especially those who had traditionally been deprived of access to quality educational resources.

The program aimed to achieve several key outcomes: enriched math and science learning experiences free of gender biases for boys and girls in early childhood development settings; strengthened capacity of educators to create inclusive, bias-free learning environments in math and science; and increased engagement and confidence among caregivers in their ability to support girls’ interest and participation in these subjects.
