Through this program, Dubai Cares addressed the needs of UNRWA’s school children in the West Bank and Gaza by supporting efforts to control intestinal worm infestations through a comprehensive deworming campaign aimed at promoting and improving children’s health. As part of the program, Dubai Cares provided two doses of Mebendazole 500mg tablets to all students enrolled in UNRWA schools in Gaza and the West Bank, developed and distributed educational materials to promote preventive hygiene practices among students, and provided iron supplements to all first-grade students, along with treatment for anemia for children diagnosed across all grades.
