The program promoted educational transition from pre-primary to primary school for children, especially girls and vulnerable groups, by establishing quality Early Childhood Education (ECE) in government primary schools to enable holistic, experiential learning. It also provided accelerated learning and support for out-of-school children to improve their learning levels. In addition, it trained teachers in hard-to-reach areas through a “Teachers Without Frontiers” model and fostered a culture of reading to enhance learning and citizenship across schools in Pakistan. Furthermore, the program conducted research and evidence-based work to influence public policy on education and advocate for girls’ right to education.
