Dubai Cares’ program aimed to develop a systematic, continuous evaluation and remediation mechanism at the school level with the engagement of communities and education actors to improve student performance at the primary level in both French and Arabic. The program sought to build the capacity of education inspectors, school directors, teachers, and community facilitators to assess learners’ performance on a daily basis and take remedial actions. It also focused on developing teaching materials to be used for continuous assessment and remediation, and on establishing a digital performance monitoring system using a mobile platform and web application to ensure data was saved, accessible, and used to monitor the remediation actions taken.
