Dubai Cares, in partnership with buildOn, implemented a program in Senegal that brought volunteers together to physically construct a new school in a remote rural community, as part of Dubai Cares’ broader commitment to raising awareness about the transformative power of education.

This program directly benefited primary school-aged children and illiterate women from indigenous communities by providing access to safe, quality education infrastructure, including gender-segregated wash facilities to support girls’ education. The program also offered adult literacy classes, empowering women through learning and contributing to long-term community development.
