Dubai Cares, in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), implemented a program in Northeast Colombia aimed at protecting conflict-affected children and young people through education. The program specifically targeted vulnerable girls, boys, and youth affected by conflict by empowering them to make choices for a positive and productive life that would contribute to the development of the region. It engaged out-of-school children and young people through non-formal education, which included a bridging program and Flexible Education Models that provided technical support to the Secretariat of Education. In addition, the program delivered educational services to out-of-school children and youth, while also working to strengthen and improve outcomes in education quality, access to education, and education management in Northern Colombia.
