As part of its commitment to improving the health and well-being of school-aged children, Dubai Cares partnered with The END Fund to support the treatment of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) in Liberia. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the Ministry of Education, and other key stakeholders, the program delivered schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminths (STH) treatment to at-risk populations.
It targeted school-aged children (SAC) in four northern counties, providing Praziquantel treatment based on existing mapping data. This program laid the groundwork for improved health, enhanced learning outcomes, and long-term development across the region.
