The program, which targeted the Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region (RACC), the most disadvantaged region in Nicaragua, aimed to help 6,300 students in 165 schools gain the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed for decent employment. In addition, the program provided school administration and teaching staff with the necessary skills and tools for planning and managing school businesses. It also supported the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education (MINED) and several NGOs in assisting gender-balanced school teams with planning and setting up profitable school enterprises. Moreover, the program developed an efficient Management Information System (MIS) to support participating NGOs in managing schools that took part in the School Enterprise Challenge.
