The program aimed to demonstrate the effectiveness of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in improving the learning outcomes of more than 60,000 boys and girls in primary education by integrating technology into teaching and learning. It focused on testing and validating models and methods that were cost-effective, efficient, and relevant to support the government in achieving its national goals for ICT integration and capacity-building across schools.

The program successfully developed and tested scalable models to mainstream the use of ICT in teachers’ professional development and to support classroom teaching. It reached 800 primary school teachers and 40 local education agents and officers, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to enhance instruction through ICT. In addition, the program improved access to appropriate hardware, software, and basic infrastructure in 20 primary schools, while also providing contextually relevant and scalable digital content. Finally, it validated and delivered cost-effective strategies and modules to strengthen the capacity of the 40 local education agents and officers, contributing to the sustainability and scalability of ICT integration in education.
