Dubai Cares in partnership with buildOn, Dubai Cares supported the construction of schools in underserved regions of Senegal to increase access to education, particularly for girls and women. The program improved primary school infrastructure, providing safe and sanitary environments for children to learn and teachers to teach.

Local parents and community members were actively involved in the school construction process and participated in capacity-building activities, reinforcing community ownership. The program also addressed adult illiteracy by training local facilitators to teach basic reading and writing skills to illiterate men and women, helping to lay the foundation for long-term educational development.
