Dubai Cares, in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent, supported the UAE Compassion humanitarian campaign launched on January 7, 2015, following the directives of the late President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The campaign aimed to deliver urgent relief—including blankets, winter clothes, and food supplies—to one million Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Gaza, and the rest of Palestine who were severely impacted by a blizzard and harsh winter conditions between January and April.

The campaign’s implementation was mandated to five UAE-based organizations: Emirates Red Crescent, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, Dubai International Humanitarian City, and Dubai Cares. Funds raised were deposited into a unified account managed by the Emirates Red Crescent.

Dubai Cares played a dual role: first, by mobilizing community engagement across Dubai—including private schools and shopping malls—to encourage donations of winter clothing, blankets, and food; and second, by contributing a financial grant to the campaign. The community mobilization drive, held from January 9 to 13, 2015, saw an overwhelming response from the Dubai community, demonstrating strong solidarity and support for those affected by the crisis.
